	Introduction :	Panamanian born jockey Luis Corrales is a graduate of the Macau Jockey Club's Apprentice School. He won the Macau Champion Apprentice title in 1999 and 2000, and has been leading senior jockey in the enclave on five occasions, as at the end of the 2019/2020 season. Corrales won his first Macau Jockeys’ Premiership in the 2012/13 season and retained the title for four years running, until the end of the 2015/16 season. He regained the title again in the 2019/20 racing season. To date he is the only locally trained apprentice jockey to win a Senior Jockeys’ Premiership. His best season was the 2013/2014 season when he recorded 76 victories. As at 31/05/2021, Corrales has ridden over 1200 Macau winners, making him the most successful jockey in the history of the Club.
