Race Report

RACE-5 THE DIAMOND (SAND) RATING 60-40 (CLASS 3&4) 1500 METRES (71)

1 Happy And Healthy (B Yamzon) –Was marginally slow to begin. Raced in a five wide position from the 800 metres.
2 Charity Group (L Corrales) –Was slow to muster speed.
3 Eason (R Stewart) – A post race veterinary examination of the gelding which was disappointing revealed it was lame in the right foreleg. Trainer P Leyshan was informed that the gelding will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until a veterinary clearance is produced.
4 Basement (W L Ho) Raced wide until obtaining a position with cover near the 800 metres.
6 Luck Of The Dragon (W H Lao) –Raced four wide without cover.
7 Vigorous Momentum (W T Pao) –From passing the 600 metres until near the 250 metres was held up when unable to improve its position.
10 Windsor Arch (D Chong) –Raced wide rounding the first turn before obtaining a position with cover entering the back straight.
12 Final Impression (M Cangas) – Rider M Cangas explained that his mount over raced in the early stages and then failed to respond when placed under pressure. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
