Race Report

RACE-2 THE KEMPTON RATING 60-40 (CLASS 3&4) 1500 METRES (86)

1 Charity Group (L Corrales) – Jumped away awkwardly and lost ground. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of 1 Charity Group, Jockey L Corrales explained that the gelding was not suited at all by the fast tempo tonight. He continuously placed his mount under pressure to try and maintain contact with the field, but it was a beaten horse a long way out. A swab was taken from the gelding and a post race veterinary failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
2 Eason (A Calder) – The start of the race delayed when 2 Eason became cast over the back gates. Acting on veterinary advice was withdrawn at 8:39pm.
3 Nata Way (B Yamzon) – Passing the 400 metres was steadied when placed in restricted between 5 More Than Happy and 4 Holy Ascension.
6 Great Party (W L Ho) –When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of 6 Great Party, Jockey W L Ho explained that the gelding although successful when racing on the sand track in the past appeared to resent the kickback, got its head up, failed to stretch out and failed to respond to his riding despite his urging and was disappointing. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer K S Cheong was informed to present the gelding to the Veterinary Clinic for a thorough veterinary examination on Saturday, 5th December 2015.
7 Four Season Health (W H Lao) –Was slow to begin.
