RACE-3 THE PEAK RATING 70-50 (CLASS 2&3) 1200 METRES (292)

2 The Mighty (Y M Choi) –When questioned Y M Choi explained that his mount commenced well, however after travelling a short distance began to make a respiratory noise and despite his urgings was unable to make close contact with the field. He added that the gelding did not handle today’s very heavy track conditions and stumbled on a number of occasions. Although it did appeared to run on fairly, he attributed this to the horses in front coming back to him in the straight.
5 Arabian Hawk (W H Lao) –Dipped after passing the 800 metres. When questioned as to why he remained wide without cover throughout the event, Jockey W H Lao advised that he had been instructed to attempt to lead and if unable to do so to afford his mount clear running as it does not appreciate racing in amongst horses. He highlighted that his mount was not on the bit at any stage during the race and may not have been fully suited by today’s heavy track conditions. He added that he was not happy with his mount’s action in the straight. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
6 My Pony (A Aucharuz) –Raced four wide without cover.
7 Lobor Treasure (K K Lai) –After jumping away became unbalanced on two occasions after bumping 4 Sink The Pink. Raced three wide throughout.
