RACE-2 THE CARDIFF RATING 60-40 (CLASS 3&4) 1200 METRES (117)

2 Bring Me Speed (W Smith) -At the 700 metre turn raced wide.
3 Luen On Treasure (L Corrales) -Shortly after the start have to check when 11 Modena Favorite hung out.
9 Fontainebleau (K H Yu) -Trainer S Chow was informed that due to the disappointing performance, he will be required to present the gelding to the Veterinary Hospital for a thorough veterinary examination on Sunday, 4 February 2018 and in addition it will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until it has performed satisfactorily in an official Barrier Trial.
10 Kirin Wit (W L Ho) -A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality other than that the gelding had sustained a small laceration to its left hind leg. Trainers W H Tse/ K C Wong were informed that due to the disappointing performance they are required to present the gelding to the Veterinary Hospital for a thorough veterinary examination on Sunday, 4 February 2018 and in addition it will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until it has performed satisfactorily in an official Barrier Trial.
11 Modena Favorite (M Wepner) -Hung out throughout the race. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Jockey M Wepner reported that he was placed a disadvantage throughout as his mount was hanging out. Trainer K H Leong was informed that due to the racing manners the gelding will not be permitted to race again for 11 days and until such time that it has performed satisfactorily in an official Barrier trial.
14 Tung's Choice (Apprentice K Leung) -Over raced in the middle stages.
