Race Report

RACE-4 THE JUNK BAY RATING 85-60 (CLASS 2) 1500 METRES (300)

1 Electroplate Alloy (K H Yu) -Rider reported his mount traveled well during the race and when placed under pressure in the home straight responded briefly before tiring over the final 150 metres. He added in his opinion having to carry top weight of 133lbs over today’s distance of 1500 metres, had a bearing on the gelding’s performance today. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
3 Victory Moment (J B Hamel) -Had a tendency to lay out rounding the first turn. Rider reported his mount traveled well in the early and middle stages, however from the 600 metres, when placed under pressure, 3 Victory Moment was unbalanced in its action and never responded to his riding thereafter. He further added that after the race, his mount was making abnormal respiratory noises. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer Y C Fung was informed that he would be required to present 3 Victory Moment to the Veterinary Hospital for a thorough veterinary examination on Monday, 28 June 2021.
4 Qian Gua (B Yamzon) -Was taken wider on the track rounding the first turn when 3 Victory Moment shifted out slightly when inclined to lay out.
5 Chi Chai Sin Sang (S Nakano) -Momentarily raced in restricted room shortly after the start between 2 Luen On Poseidon and 3 Victory Moment, both which shifted ground slightly.
7 Partners' Fortune (F Henrique) -Prior to the race, Assistant Trainer I K Chang representative of Trainer Pat Lee’s stable advised the Stewards that he would be instructing Jockey F Henrique to lead should circumstances permit, however if unable to lead to settle in 2nd or 3rd position. Raced ungenerously rounding the first turn.
