RACE-4 THE MOONEE VALLEY RATING 30-0 (CLASS 6) 1350 METRES (266)

2 Freetowon (K H Yu) - Raced wide without cover and laid out rounding the home turn. Rider reported that his mount did not appreciate the kickback from the sand track.
3 Sheng Tong Master (K F Choi) - After passing the 400 metres shifted out slightly and bumped 1 Desi Master.
5 Brilliant Boy (Apprentice X C Liang) - A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
7 Courier Warrior (C L Cheung) - Shifted in under pressure in the home straight.

RACING INCIDENT & INQUIRY:
Stewards opened an inquiry into the tactics adopted on 5 Brilliant Boy. Evidence was taken from Trainer M C Tam and Apprentice X C Liang, rider of 5 Brilliant Boy. The inquiry was adjourned to a date to be fixed.

Stewards inquired into an incident that occurred in the mounting yard and in the Scales area after the running of Race 4. Evidence was taken from Trainer M C Tam, trainer of 5 Brilliant Boy, and L Corrales, rider of 4 Canton Rose. After considering the evidence, both M C Tam and L Corrales were reminded of their obligations to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times.
