RACE-1 THE SHANNON RATING 30-0 (CLASS 6) 1050 METRES (97)

2 Oriental Halflamma (L Corrales) - Was caught wide throughout.
5 Topmountain King (C L Cheung) - Was disappointed for a clear run from the 400 metres until the 200 metres.
6 Star Akia (I Poullis) - Jockey was questioned regarding his ride on the gelding. He stated that upon straightening he pulled the whip on the horse to keep its mind on running as the horse fell at its previous start. He added that he knew the gelding shifted out at the top of the straight, and he put the whip away near the winning post and continued pushing with his hands. His explanation was noted and was advised to keep his mounts straight in the future.
