Race Report

RACE-2 THE HIBISCUS RATING 55-25 (CLASS 4) 1600 METRES (8)

1 Classical Music (B Yamzon) –Over raced during the early stages.
2 Truely Love (M Cangas) –Raced wide rounding the home turn.
4 Road To Victory (C Perkins) –Approaching the winning post on the first occasion had to be steadied when awkwardly placed on the heels of 6 Priceless Treasure which when over racing shifted out slightly.
5 Honest Boy (H Lam) –Was slow to begin, then slow into stride and lost considerable ground. Approaching the winning post on the first occasion was inconvenienced when awkwardly placed close to the heels of 4 Road To Victory. Raced in restricted room for a short distance thereafter. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
6 Priceless Treasure (C F Chan) –The tongue tie on the gelding was refitted behind the barriers. Was slow to begin. Over raced in the early stages. Approaching the 200 metres Jockey C F Chan accidently dropped his left rein placing him at disadvantage for a short distance. As a result of this the horse shifted in abruptly. The rider was then able to fully test his mount out over the final 150 metres.
7 Smart Ebony (W Smith) –A post race veterinary examination revealed that the gelding was lame in the right foreleg. Trainer K S Ho was informed that 7 Smart Ebony will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until a veterinary clearance is produced.
8 Best Double (A Calder) –Jumped awkwardly. Raced wide during the early stages until obtaining the lead position near the 1100 metres.
