Race Report

RACE-3 MACAU SPRINT TROPHY (GROUP 3) 1000 METRES (69)

2 Master Of Puppets (D Chong) –Rider could offer no tangible reasons for the disappointing performance today. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
6 Spring Stream (K H Yu) –Near the 250 metres became unbalanced and then approaching the 200 metres broke down in the near foreleg and fell. It was subsequently humanely euthanased. Rider K H Yu was examined by the Club’s Medical Officer and passed fit to continue riding for the remainder of his riding engagements.
10 Easy Money (K W Leong) –Raced five wide throughout the event. Near the 500 metres was hampered and taken out of its course by 11 River Bobo which was laying out.
11 River Bobo (L Corrales) –Raced four wide without cover.
12 Pacers Bahhare (W H Lao) –Proved reluctant to be ridden to the barrier resulting in its rider dismounting and the gelding being led to the barrier from the 1400 metres. Was slightly slow to begin, was then bumped by 6 Spring Stream which shifted out. Rider W H Lao explained that his mount refused to stretch out through the early and middle stages and for this reason he eased it out of the race rounding the home turn. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer K S Wong was informed that the gelding must trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a official trial at which time it must be ridden to the barriers and perform competitively.
