Race Report

RACE-4 THE LANZHOU RATING 70-50 (CLASS 3) 1050 METRES (185)

1 Lovely Boy (C Perkins) – Was severely reprimanded for accidently dropping his whip after passing the 400 metres. Steward took into account his good record.
5 Tuhao Power (W L Ho) – Shifted in when the gates were released and brushed 6 Voguish (K W Leong).
6 Voguish (K W Leong) – Despite being hard ridden tailed the field before being eased down from the 100 metres. Rider K W Leong could offer no real reason for the performance of the gelding today. Trainer Y C Fung was advised that the gelding must perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in official barrier trial prior to racing again. Mr. Y C Fung was also notified of his obligation under Rule 14 (xii)(b)(ii) and advised that if the gelding continued to display inconsistent form action may be taken. A post race veterinary examination ordered by the Stewards failed to reveal any significant abnormality. A post swab was taken for analysis.
7 Cool Brother (W H Lao) – Over raced during the early and middle stages of the race.
8 I Told You So (O Doleuze) – Jumped away awkwardly.
