RACE-5 THE WAIMATE RATING 55-30 (CLASS 4) 1200 METRES (47)

1 Heartgoodallwell (Apprentice C L Cheung) -Apprentice Jockey C L Cheung was fined for failing to ride his mount out fully to the finish line.
3 Tuhao Power (W Smith) -A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
4 Chapman Way (R Maia) - The Stewards intend to question Trainer Mr Y C Fung regarding the apparent improved performance of the gelding in today’s race.
7 Beautiful Creative (F Henrique) -Jockey F Henrique was fined for failing to ride his mount out fully to the finish line.
8 Beauty Princess (L Corrales) -Jumped awkwardly and shifted out. Leaving the 800 metres raced fiercely, shifted out and had to be steadied off the heels of 7 Beautiful Creative.
9 My Dream (K Leung) -A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
10 Wealthy Emperor (B Yamzon) -Near the 900 metres had to be eased away from the heels of 6 Heng Feng Star which was taken in by 12 Not A Single Help which shifted in when not quite clear. After considering all of the evidence the Stewards took no further action other than to advise all riders to exercise more care in similar circumstances in future.

RACING INCIDENT & INQUIRY:
Apprentice Jockey C L Cheung the rider of 1 Heartgoodallwell pleaded guilty to a charge under MJC Rule 14 (xvii) (a) in that he failed to ride his mount out fully to the finish line. Apprentice Jockey C L Cheung was issued with a fine of HKD5000. In determining the penalty, the Stewards were satisfied that it had not cost him 3rd placing.

Jockey F Henrique the rider of 7 Beautiful Creative pleaded guilty to a charge under MJC Rule 14 (xvii) (a) in that he failed to ride his mount out fully to the finish line. Jockey F Henrique was issued with a fine of HKD10000. In determining the penalty, the Stewards were satisfied that it had not cost him 2nd placing.
