RACE-5 THE SEATTLE RATING 45-20 (CLASS 4&5) 1050 METRES (222)

2 Californiatreasure (T Appie) -Had a tendency to lay in under pressure in the home straight.
3 Highspot (H Lam) -Leaving the 500 metres until entering the home straight was shifted wider on the track by 7 Star Of City Gold which shifted out whilst being ridden along. Jockey W H Lao the rider of 7 Star Of City Gold was issued with a severe reprimand for unnecessarily shifting out when insufficiently clear of 3 Highspot and was further advised that should he continue to ride in such a manner more severe action may be taken. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
4 Showgrosve (D Barros) -Was bumped by 14 Tak Fai Of Pins on jumping away which was taken out by 13 For Community which after knuckling on jumping away shifted out. Raced wide without cover throughout. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
6 Harvest Year (K H Yu) -Jockey K H Yu the rider of 6 Harvest Year was issued with a severe reprimand for not riding his mount out fully over the concluding stages. In determining not to issue a more severe penalty, the Stewards were satisfied that it had no bearing on the overall placings of the race. Nevertheless Jockey K H Yu was advised that should he continue to ride in such a manner more severe action may be taken.
7 Star Of City Gold (W H Lao) -Jumped away awkwardly and shifted in. Over the final 50 metres shifted out abruptly under pressure and had to be corrected by its rider.
9 Danny Choice (L Corrales) -On jumping away was bumped by 1 Darling Ten which shifted out. Near the 50 metres shifted out under pressure and had to be corrected by its rider. Trainer K S Wong was informed that he would be required to present 9 Danny Choice to the Veterinary Hospital for a thorough veterinary examination on Saturday, 9 May 2020.
10 Grand Warrior (C F Chan) -Was slow into stride. Cast its left fore plate during the run.
12 Master Of Mars (W L Ho) -Jockey W L Ho the rider of 12 Master Of Mars was reminded of his obligations to ride all his mounts out fully to the finish of the race. In determining not to issue a more severe penalty, the Stewards were satisfied that it had no bearing on the overall placings of the race and they also took into account Jockey W L Ho’s good record in regards to this offence.
13 For Community (Y M Choi) -Knuckled on jumping away and shifted out. Raced wide without cover throughout.
14 Tak Fai Of Pins (F Henrique) -Near the 400 metres was steadied in across the heels of 2 Californiatreasure which shifted out slightly.
