Race Report

RACE-2 THE DARWIN RATING 55-30 (CLASS 4) 1050 METRES (142)

2 Stadium (S H Huang) -Brushed with 8 Winter Typhoon on jumping away. A post race veterinary examination revealed that the gelding was lame in the right foreleg. Trainers K C Tse/K S Ho were informed that 2 Stadium will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until a veterinary certificate is produced.
3 Beauty Supreme (S Nakano) -Knuckled on jumping away.
7 River Arrow (Y M Choi) -A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
8 Winter Typhoon (K F Choi) -Brushed with 2 Stadium on jumping away. Near the 700 metres brushed the running rail and became unbalanced when laying in and away from 1 Lucky Gold.
9 Rayquaza (Apprentice X C Liang) -Sprawled on jumping away. Rounding the home turn had to be steadied when awkwardly placed on the heels of 7 River Arrow which shifted out when not fully clear. Jockey Y M Choi the rider of 7 River Arrow was issued a severe reprimand and was advised to ensure he is sufficiently clear of runners when shifting ground at all times.
10 Victory Thunder (T Appie) -Rider reported that rounding the home turn his mount was inclined to lay in when it resented racing in the kickback from 6 Mr Donut and in the early stages of the home straight he shifted 10 Victory Thunder to the outside of 6 Mr Donut into clear running and away from the kickback. He added when he placed 10 Victory Thunder under pressure the gelding had a tendency to get its head up and was inclined to lay in whilst making up ground late. He further added that he would be recommending to Trainer K M Chin that 10 Victory Thunder may benefit with the addition of a shadow roll.
