2 Military Strongman (I Poullis) - Slow to begin
3 Handsome Joyful (C L Cheung) - Performed below market expectations. Rider stated his instructions was to ride the gelding in a forward position where it is comfortable. He further stated his mount travelled comfortably to the straight, however did not respond to his riding. He said his mount felt fine in its actions, and was not able to offer further explanation to the performance today. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
5 Racing Master (R Maia) - On straightening, shifted out marginally and made contact with 4 Racing Brothers
8 Royal Hero (Apprentice L Li) - Raced wide without cover throughout
9 Spicy Again (W H Lao) - Slow to begin and failed to muster early speed.
12 Chu Chu Dong Ren (Apprentice Tesuri) - Commenced awkwardly, shifted out and bumped 6 Set My Heart.
