RACE-2 THE OPAL RATING 30-0 (CLASS 6) 1800 METRES (115)

1 Luen On Feelings (L Corrales) - A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
2 Absolute Star (R Maia) - Was examined by Veterinary Surgeon behind barriers at the request of rider, and was passed fit to race.
3 Ngwah Sweetheart (Apprentice X C Liang) - Apprentice X C Liang was fined HKD 500 for accidentally dropping his whip around the 400 metres.
4 Golden Wai (K H Yu) - Was slow to begin
6 Destiny Flight (C Perkins) - A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding was lame in its right foreleg.
7 Superlative Choice (K F Choi) - Laid out rounding the turn around the 1400 metres.
8 Da Fa Loi (C L Cheung) - A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.

RACING INCIDENT & INQUIRY:
Stewards inquired into an incident near the 1400 metres. It was established that 3 Ngwah Sweetheart raced ungenerously, 6 Destiny Flight, which was travelling behind 3 Ngwah Sweetheart, rolled outwards. 9 Top Mountain Hero, which was pulling hard, had to be eased from the heels of 6 Destiny Flight, and 5 Spicy Allez which was racing fiercely struck the fence and dipped. 6 Destiny Flight then shifted back closer to the rail, allowing 9 Top Mountain Hero to move between 1 Luen On Feelings and 6 Destiny Flight, resulting in 1 Luen On Feelings racing wide for the majority of the race. On the film footage available, Stewards could not be satisfied that any one rider was responsible for this incident and no further action was taken.
