RACE-4 THE EAST STIRLING RATING 70-50 (CLASS 2&3) 1500 METRES (135)

3 Sheng Tong Viva (K F Choi) -Shortly after the start checked and as a result was taken in bumping 9 Beauty Life which lost ground. (See inquiry)
4 Silent Hero (R Maia) -A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
6 Lucky Runner (L Corrales) -Near the 1300 metres steadied away from 5 Day Day Supreme.
7 Revue (K H Yu) -Dwelt at the start losing ground.

RACING INCIDENT & INQUIRY:
Stewards inquired into interference shortly after the start. It was established that shortly after the start, 2 Iu Cheong Master shifted in causing 3 Sheng Tong Viva to be checked and as a result was taken in bumping 9 Beauty Life which lost ground. Apprentice X C Liang of 2 Iu Cheong Master pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MJC Rule 132 (i). Apprentice X C Liang’s license to riding in races was suspended for 1 raceday covering the racemeeting of Sunday, 17th March 2024 and issued a fine of HKD6,000. In assessing penalty, Stewards took into account all the circumstances, Apprentice X C Liang’s guilty plea and his careless riding record. He was advised of his rights of appeal.
