Race Report

RACE-1 THE MINNEAPOLIS RATING 35-0 (CLASS 5&6) 1350 METRES (218)

1 Epinart (D Barros) -A short distance after the start was bumped by 11 Game Of Dreams which after shifting out and bumping with 3 Numberone Mingxuan was then taken inwards by 3 Numberone Mingxuan which shifted in. After considering all of the circumstances, both Jockey C F Chan the rider of 11 Game Of Dreams and Apprentice C L Cheung the rider of 3 Numberone Mingxuan were advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances in future.
2 Thunder Bear (L Corrales) -Shifted in on jumping away. Had a tendency to hang in under pressure in the home straight.
3 Numberone Mingxuan (Apprentice C L Cheung) -Was crowded for room and blundered on jumping away between 11 Game Of Dreams and 2 Thunder Bear, both of which shifted ground. A short distance after the start was bumped by 11 Game Of Dreams which continued to shift out resulting in 3 Numberone Mingxuan then being inclined to shift in taking 11 Game Of Dreams in onto 1 Epinart which was bumped. Near the 450 metres brushed with 10 Pride Sprint.
4 My Golden Boy (W L Ho) -A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
7 Die Casting Alloy (K H Yu) -Rider was unable to offer any tangible explanation for today’s performance other than 7 Die Casting Alloy was under pressure from the 600 metres, never responded to his riding and in his opinion was disappointing. A post race swab was taken for analysis. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer M C Tam was informed that he would be required to present 7 Die Casting Alloy to the Veterinary Hospital for a thorough veterinary examination on Saturday, 9 May 2020.
8 Gem General (H Lam) -Approaching the 200 metres had to be eased away from the heels of 11 Game Of Dreams which shifted in whilst being ridden along. Jockey C F Chan the rider of 11 Game Of Dreams was advised to exercise more care and to ensure he corrects his mount sooner than he did on this occasion. A post race veterinary examination at the request of the rider failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
10 Pride Sprint (M Tanaka) -Raced wide without cover throughout. Near the 450 metres brushed with 3 Numberone Mingxuan.
11 Game Of Dreams (C F Chan) -A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
12 Super Boy (T Appie) -Suffered a bleeding attack. Trainer M C Tam was informed that the normal stand down period applies and 12 Super Boy will not be permitted to race again until such time that it has performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in and official Barrier Trial and a veterinary certificate is produced.
