Race Report

RACE-6 THE TURIN RATING 45-0 (CLASS 4&5) 1050 METRES (225)

2 Danish Star (F Henrique) -For some distance after the start raced in restricted room between 3 Billionaire and 8 Right Right Right which was taken in by 9 River Prosperity which hung in despite the efforts of its rider S Nakano. After considering the history of 9 River Prosperity, the Stewards ordered that 9 River Prosperity undergo an official Barrier Trial before being permitted to race again.
3 Billionaire (Y M Choi) -A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
4 Prevenient Grace (W H Lao) -Rider reported that near the 600 metres when racing in the kickback, his mount dropped the bit, got its head up and became unbalanced. He added that as a result of this, he formed the opinion that his mount was resenting the kickback and he therefore elected to shift wider on the track to avoid the kickback. After considering all of the circumstances, the Stewards noted his explanation.
5 Rayquaza (K H Yu) -Near the 100 metres was obliged to alter course in and away from 7 Sheng Li Star which shifted in when not fully clear. Jockey C L Cheung the rider of 7 Sheng Li Star was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances in future.
6 Treasure Honey (D Barros) -A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
7 Sheng Li Star (C L Cheung) -Raced wide without cover throughout.
8 Right Right Right (T Appie) -Was bumped by 9 River Prosperity on jumping away.
9 River Prosperity (S Nakano) -Jumped away awkwardly and bumped 8 Right Right Right. For some distance after the start hung in despite the efforts of its rider. After considering the history of 9 River Prosperity, Trainer S H Cheong was advised that the gelding will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until such time that it has performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official Barrier Trial.
