RACE-4 THE FAROL DA GUIA RATING 60-40 (CLASS 3&4) 1100 METRES (4)

2 My Favourites (C F Chan) – Over raced during the early and middle stages; Rider was spoken to in relation to raising his arms above shoulder height;
3 Winner Best (A Calder) –Hung out for some distance after jumping away proving difficult to ride.
9 Yang Jiang Power (K H Yu) –Raced four wide without cover.
10 Cheerful Fish (M Cangas) –Disappointing performance; A post race and swab was ordered by the Stewards.
11 Companion (W T Pao) –Struck the inside gate on jumping away and was then brushed by 10 Cheerful Fish and became unbalanced; Near the 700 netres had to be steadied to avoid the heels of 8 The Mighty which shifted in abruptly when laying in; Shortly after this again had to be steadied when awkwardly placed inside the heels of 8 The Mighty; Apprentice Y M Choi the rider of 8 The Mighty was advised that he must exercise more care when in similar circumstances in future

VETERINARY:
10 Cheerful Fish (M Cangas) which was disappointing –A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
