Race Report

RACE-5 THE EGMONT RATING 70-50 (CLASS 3) 1100 METRES (29)

1 Windsor Arch Five (W L Ho) –Near the 200 metres was hampered by 11 Power Sequalo which shifted out whilst being ridden along. Jockey M Cangas the rider 11 Power Sequalo was advised that he must stop riding and straighten his mount under similar circumstances in future.
3 Ruling Elite (D Chong) –Raced wide without cover throughout.
5 Bo Bo So Great (H Lam) – Was held up for the 600 metres until passing the 400 metres. When questioned regarding his riding from the entrance to the straight, rider H Lam explained that his mount had a tendency to lay in and that near the 250 metres he was inconvenienced by 11 Power Sequalo which shifted out to improve its position. He explained that his mount then continued to lay in in the straight and for this reason he was unable to ride his mount out in the straight in his usual manner. The Stewards noted his comments. A post race veterinary examination ordered by the Stewards failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
6 Hostwin Valentino (R Stewart) –Poor performance. A post race veterinary examination ordered by the Stewards revealed it had suffered a bleeding attack.
8 Florence Elite (B Yamzon) –Rounding the home turn was held up when unable to improve its position and approaching the 200 metres had to be steadied when inconvenienced by 5 Bo Bo So Great which shifted in when laying in.
11 Power Sequalo (M Cangas) –Was resaddled behind the barriers.
