Race Report

RACE-3 THE TE AROHA RATING 55-30 (CLASS 4) 1200 METRES (33)

1 Golden Bullet (K W Leong) –Restless in its barrier and was slow to begin. Over raced in the early and middle stages and for some distance approaching the 600 metres had to be steadied off heels.
7 Vowed To Run (K H Yu) – Rider could offer no real excuses today for his mount’s disappointing performance. A post race veterinary examination ordered by the Stewards revealed that the gelding was making an unusual respiratory noise.
8 Happy Proposal (M Cangas) –Raced three wide without cover.
9 Macau Spring (A Calder) –Near the 1000 metres was inconvenienced and taken out of its course momentarily by 8 Happy Proposal which shifted out.
10 Win Perfectly (B Yamzon) –When questioned regarding his riding of 10 Win Perfectly rounding the home turn, Jockey B Yamzon explained that approaching the 400 metres he was following 4 Mighty Alloy which he believed was the horse that would take him into the race, however he was reluctant to improve to the inside of the gelding at the stage as it was rolling about in front of him. He added that shortly after passing the 400 metres 4 Mighty Alloy rolled off presenting a run to its inside and he commenced placing his mount under pressure at that point.
11 Golden Commandment (D Chong) –Jumped away awkwardly and was slow to muster speed.
