RACE-5 THE ASHBURTON RATING 85-60 (CLASS 2) 1500 METRES (59)
2 Happy Fish (C F Wong) –Hampered at the turn near the 1200 metres and taken out of its course.
3 Let Me Run (L Corrales) –Hampered at the turn near the 1200 metres and taken out of its course. Thereafter raced wide until obtaining a position with cover near the 900 metres.
Disappointing. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
4 My Dream (Apprentice K Y Wong) –Near the 1400 metres shifted out taking 1 Lucky Winston out of its course.
6 Luen Yat Forever (W L Ho) –Was slow to muster speed.
7 Best Season (W H Lao) –On arriving at the barriers, was examined at the request of its rider and was passed fit to race. Jumped away awkwardly and lost ground. Disappointing. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
9 Luen Yat Colorado (Apprentice Y M Choi) –Prior to the race rider Y M Choi was examined by the Club’s Medical Officer and declared fit to race.
12 Sunshine Mighty (R Stewart) –At the turn near the 1200 metres had to be steadied to avoid the heels of 4 My Dream which shifted out slightly after being brushed by 11 Sunshine Full Life which shifted out away from 10 Elderly Paradise which had improved into a neat run to the inside of that gelding.
14 Nothing To Say (B Yamzon) –Near the 700 metres had to be steadied to avoid the heels of 1 Lucky Winston which shifted out.
