Race Report

RACE-5 THE CENTRAL RATING 70-50 (CLASS 3) 1050 METRES (77)

1 Red Dragon (D Chong) – Over raced through the early and middle stages.
2 Sir Caspur (C Perkins) –Jumped away awkwardly and struck the inside gate. Shortly after the start was hampered and had to be steadied to avoid the heels of 10 As I Wish which shifted out after being bumped by 9 Woodney.
3 I Told You So (L Corrales) –Was reluctant to proceed to the start. Trainer K M Chin was advised that a warning was being placed on the gelding for its pre race behavior and its barrier manners, and should it perform in a similar manner in future, further action may be taken.
5 Bo Bo So Great (J Cordero) –Knuckled when the gates were released.
6 Sharon Star (W H Lao) –Was slow to begin.
7 Chairman's Vote (R Curatolo) –Jumped away awkwardly, shifted out and had to be checked off the heels of 5 Bo Bo So Great.
8 Chinese Scholar (H Lam) –Raced wide without cover throughout. Jockey H Lam explained that after beginning very well his mount then failed to show sufficient speed to cross runners to his inside resulting in him being caught wide without cover throughout the event. He added that rounding the home turn 8 Chinese Scholar was not stretching out and further added that it did not feel right in its action.
10 As I Wish (W T Pao) – Shifted out abruptly on jumping away and made contact with 2 Sir Caspur. Shortly after the start became unbalanced when bumped by 9 Woodney which shifted out.
11 Master Of Assayer (W L Ho) –Raced wide without cover throughout the event.
