Race Report

RACE-5 THE ANSHAN RATING 85-60 (CLASS 2) 1050 METRES (180)

1 Brave Panda (O Doleuze) - Over raced in the back straight and after passing the 700 metres has to be steadied when placed in restricted room to the inside of 9 Firedragon Cthulhu.
4 Central Station (L Salles) –On jumping away was brushed by 12 The Mighty which shifted out and became unbalanced.
5 Inventive (A Aucharuz) –Raced wide without cover throughout the event.
8 King Achilles (C Perkins) –Raced keenly through the early and middle stages.
10 Let Me Run (K K Lai) -Suffered a bleeding attack.
11 Every May (W T Pao) – Bounded in the air when the gates were released and lost ground.

RACING INCIDENT & INQUIRY:
Jockey L Corrales the rider of 6 Master Of Assayer pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under the provisions of MJC Rule 132 (i) in that passing the 700 metres he failed to make sufficient effort to prevent his mount from shifting in, resulting in 10 Let Me Run (K K Lai), 7 Korean Dream (B Yamzon) and 3 Brave Flying Hawk (W L Ho) having to be checked. In laying the charge, the Stewards acknowledged that 6 Master Of Assayer may have laid in away from 4 Central Station (L Salles). Jockey Corrales’ licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of two racemeetings to cover the meetings of 19th and 25th March 2016. In arriving at penalty, the Stewards took into account his guilty plea, his good record and the degree of the interference. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.
