RACE-5 SINGAPORE TURF CLUB GOODWILL CUP RATING 85-60 (CLASS 2) 1500 METRES (186)

2 Red Dragon (K K Lai) – Jumped away awkwardly and lost ground. Poor performance. The rider K K Lai reported that the gelding did not respond to his riding throughout the event and could not offer any real excuse for today’s performance. Trainer J M Moore was informed to present the gelding to the Veterinary Clinic for a through veterinary examination on Saturday, 12 March 2016. The gelding was beaten in excess of 59 lengths. Trainer J M Moore was advised that the gelding must perform to the satisfaction to the Stewards in an official barrier trials prior to race again.
3 Never See Through (C Perkins) – After passing the winning post on the first occasion had to be steadied when close to the heels of 5 Harbour Star (W L Ho) which shifted in. After passing the 50 metres shifted out and made contact with 12 Vigorous Momentum (W T Pao).
4 Advance Mission (L Salles) – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.
5 Harbour Star (W L Ho) – Second place getter. Rider W L Ho viewed the Stewards’ footage before deciding not to lodge an objection against the winner. Stewards were satisfied, bearing in mind the 2 -3/4 lengths margin between the two runners at the finish, that there was insufficient grounds for an objection and correct weight was declared. It was established the near the 1300 metres 5 Harbour Star had to be steadied when placed in a restricted room by 4 Advance Mission which had a tendency to lay in.
6 Winner Best (L Corrales) – Broke down in left front fetlock rounding the first turn, was eased down and was subsequently humanly euthanized.
8 My Club (A Aucharuz) – Was resaddled on the arrival on the barrier.
9 My Dream (J Cordero) – Approaching 200 metres was steadied when racing in restricted room.
10 Charity Group (D Chong) – Jumped away awkwardly and threw its head in the air, unbalancing its rider and losing ground. The gelding was beaten in excess of 31 lengths. Trainer M C Tam was advised that the gelding must perform to the satisfaction to the Stewards in an official barrier trial prior to racing again.
12 Vigorous Momentum (W T Pao) – Was slow to begin.
