Race Report

RACE-4 THE BOLIVIA RATING 70-50 (CLASS 3) 1200 METRES (215)
The start of this race was delayed as repair work was being carried on the running rail which had been dislodged by a runner during the preliminary.

1 My Pony (H Lam) –Was marginally slow to begin (1L). Raced three wide without cover from the 800 metres.
3 Win Smoothly (R Curatolo) –Stood flat footed when the gates were released and lost considerable ground (5L). Trainer J M Moore was advised that the gelding must perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a Jump Out prior racing again. Rider reported that after being slow to begin his mount got too far back from the field however worked home well to the line. Poor performance. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality however the gelding was making some respiratory noises.
5 Mission Gdragon (W L Ho) –Dipped shortly after the start. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.
8 Wyoming (A Calder) –Was slow to begin (1L).
10 Excellent Brothers (L Corrales) –Was marginally slow to begin.
12 Victory Megastar (K K Lai) – Rider K K Lai was dislodged from his mount en route to the barrier when it struck the outside running rail which also became dislodged. K K Lai was examined by the Club’s Medical Officer and passed fit to continue riding. 12 Victory Megastar
was withdrawn on veterinary advice at 3:41pm as it had sustained a laceration to its head.
