Race Report

RACE-4 THE JAIPUR RATING 85-60 (CLASS 2) 1500 METRES (276)

3 Mission Gdragon (W L Ho) -Checked after passing the 1200 metres. Over raced in the back straight. Performed below market expectations. Rider was unable to offer any tangible explanation. A post race veterinary examination failed reveal any significant abnormality.
7 Master Of Cheers (L Corrales) –Performed below market expectations, Rider was unable to offer any explanation other than the horse was caught racing wide throughout out which was detrimental to his chances. A post race veterinary examination failed reveal any significant abnormality.
8 Basement (A Aucharuz) –Was restrained from the barriers and when crossed behind the field to obtain a position closer to the rail, was steadied over the heels of 5 One Belt One Road. Jockey A Aucharuz was advised that he must exercise far more care when attempting similar maneuvers in future. Approaching the 600 metres had to be steadied, and shifted out after improving upon to the heels of 6.
9 King Creole (L Salles) –Was slow into stride.

RACING INCIDENT & INQUIRY:
Jockey H Lam the rider of 1 Perfect Alloy pleaded guilty to a charge of careless under MJC Rule 132 (i) in that passing the 1200 metres he permitted his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of 3 Mission Gdragon (W L Ho) which had to be checked. Jockey H Lam’s licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of two racemeetings, covering the meetings of 11th and 10th June 2016. In arriving at penalty, the Stewards took into account his guilty plea, good record and the degree of carelessness. The Stewards deemed the interference to be of medium range. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.
