RACE-5 THE ATLANTA (SAND) RATING 70-50 (CLASS 2&3) 1500 METRES (354)

2 My Favourites (C F Chan) –On jumping away was bumped inwards by 3 Grand Double Win and as a result struck the hindquarters of 4 Ruling Elite and lost ground.
3 Grand Double Win (L Salles) –After jumping away became badly unbalanced when bumped by 2 My Favourites.
5 Son Of Unicorn (L Corrales) – Jumped away awkwardly. Rider L Corrales explained that his mount commenced very well today and obtained a forward position and when he attempted to steady the pace it over raced and didn’t come back under him until the 600 metres. Near the 50 metres had his whip struck from his hands by the whip of Jockey L Salles the rider of 3 Grand Double Win when racing tight with that horse..
7 River Control (K W Leong) –Raced extremely wide rounding the first turn and then raced wide without cover throughout. Rider K W Leong was severely reprimanded for accidentally dropping his whip after passing the 300 metres. In arriving at this decision, the Stewards took into account his good record.
