Race Report

RACE-2 THE BRIGHTON (SAND) RATING 70-50 (CLASS 2&3) 1350 METRES (381)

1 Golden Idol (L Salles) –Approaching the 400 metres was held up momentarily when unable to improve its position.
2 Korean Dream (J Cordero) –Jumped away awkwardly and was then brushed by 9 Lobor Treasure which shifted in and away from 8 Baby Horse. Raced three wide without cover.
3 Chinese Dream (W Smith) –Jumped away awkwardly.
4 My Favourites (C F Chan) –Was slow to begin. Over raced in the back straight and approaching the 600 metres had to be restrained off heels. Was held up for a considerable distance rounding the home turn.
6 Son Of Unicorn (R Curatolo) –Following the running of the race the ”Enquiry” sign was semaphored to allow the Stewards to review the video replay of the start. It was established that when the gates were released 6 Son Of Unicorn dwelt and lost considerable ground (3L). Trainer J M Moore was informed that the horse will not be permitted to race again until such time that it has performed satisfactorily in a Jump Out. Near the 250 metres was inconvenienced by 9 Lobor Treasure which shifted in away from 4 My Favourites. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. A swab sample was taken from the horse for analysis.
7 Easy Money (M Cangas) –Rider reported that his mount did not feel comfortable in its action in the home straight. A post race veterinary examination at the rider’s request failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
8 Baby Horse (H Lam) –Raced four wide without cover.
9 Lobor Treasure (A Aucharuz) –Poor performance. Rider reported his mount raced like a tired horse. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
