Race Report

RACE-4 THE RIPON RATING 85-60 (CLASS 2) 1500 METRES (70)

1 Allez Eagle (A Calder) –Performed below market expectations. Rider reported that his mount was under pressure from the 700 metres and in his opinion was not suited by tonight’s fast tempo. He further added that in his opinion 1 Allez Eagle may not have handled tonight’s track conditions. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
2 Oh So Easy (K K Lai) –Raced fiercely in the early and middle stages.
3 Feast For Eyes (W L Ho) –Over raced in the early and middle stages. A swab sample was taken for analysis. A post race veterinary examination revealed that 3 Feast For Eyes had suffered a bleeding attack. Trainer J Lau was reminded of the standard stand down period and actions required before 3 Feast For Eyes can be passed to race again.
5 My Dream (K W Leong) –Tightened for room shortly after the start between 9 Happy Fish and 8 King Creole both of which shifted ground.
7 Macau Spring (C Perkins) – Slipped in the saddling paddock, was inspected by the Veterinary Surgeon and passed fit to race. Was slow to begin.
10 Canny Be A Hero (A Aucharuz) –Held up rounding the home turn.
