RACE-3 THE SHEFFIELD RATING 45-25 (CLASS 4&5) 1350 METRES (111)

2 God Get People (A Aucharuz) –Near the 300 metres clipped heels, blundered badly resulting in its rider being displaced from the saddle and near the 50 metres was subsequently dislodged.
3 Easy Thai (L Corrales) -Was inconvenienced near the 300 metres.
4 Galaxy Supreme (W H Lao) -Was inconvenienced near the 100 metres. Hung out from the 500 metres.
6 Rider Navigator (L Salles) –Was slow to begin.
8 Paulson (W L Ho) – Near the 500 metres was inconvenienced by 4 Galaxy Supreme which hung out. 4 Galaxy Supreme continued to hang out for some distance thereafter. Raced wide rounding the home turn.
9 River Pearl (K W Leong) –Jumped awkwardly.
11 Turquoise Lucky (K H Yu) –Was inconvenienced near the 300 metres.
12 China Cheers (H Lam) –Was slow to begin.

RACING INCIDENT & INQUIRY:
Jockey R Maia the rider of 7 Eangle Commander pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MJC Rule 132 (i), in that near the 300 metres he permitted his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of 2 God Get People which had to be checked, clipped heels and blundered badly displacing Jockey A Aucharuz from his saddle. Jockey R Maia’s licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of three racemeetings to cover the meetings of 21st January, 4th and 10th February 2017. In arriving at penalty, the Stewards took into account his guilty plea, the degree of the interference and his recent riding record. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.
