RACE-2 UNIVERSITY OF MACAU ALUMNI ASSOCIATION CUP RATING 85-60 (CLASS 2) 1200 METRES (197)

2 Sweet Korean (Apprentice K Leung) -On the home turn was taken wider on the track by 5 Californiatreasure.
5 Californiatreasure (F Henrique) -On the home turn shifted out and took 2 Sweet Korean, 13 Capital Protector, 12 Valiant Soldier and 9 Golden Thumb wider on the track. Jockey F Henrique was severely reprimanded and was told to ensure that he is clear before he shifts ground in future.
8 Thar (K K Lai) -Blundered at the start.
9 Golden Thumb (R Maia) -Was slow into stride. On the home turn was taken wider on the track by 5 Californiatreasure.
10 Niubi Emperor (H Lam) -A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. When questioned Jockey H Lam he explained that he was instructed to lead and after travelling a few hundred metres, he was able to lead and in the home straight the mount became tired and lost ground. Trainer K C Chong confirmed his instruction to Jockey H Lam and supply betting tickets in support of 10 Niubi Emperor. Jockey H Lam was severely reprimanded for not allowing his mount to conserve energy once he had gained the lead, but continued to allow his mount to run along in front, resulting in 10 Niubi Emperor becoming very tired in the straight and lose ground.
11 Tak Fai Of Pins (M Wepner) -Was slow into stride.
12 Valiant Soldier (O Chavez) -On the home turn was taken wider on the track by 5 Californiatreasure.
13 Capital Protector (W Smith) -On the home turn was taken wider on the track by 5 Californiatreasure. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
