Race Report

RACE-5 THE ASHLEY RATING 85-60 (CLASS 2) 1510 METRES (53)

1 Tremendous Wins (J B Hamel) -Near the 150 metres shifted in under pressure and had to be corrected by its rider.
2 Tavezbac (C L Cheung) -Stood flat footed and lost considerable ground at the start. A post race swab was taken for analysis. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
3 Oriental Profit (K H Yu) -A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
5 White Debbie (W H Lao) -Over the final 200 metres was inclined to shift in under pressure.

RACING INCIDENT & INQUIRY:
Following the running of the race, the “Enquiry” sign was semaphored to allow the Stewards an opportunity to review the video patrols films of the start to ascertain whether 2 Tavezbac (C L Cheung) had been afforded a fair start. It was established that as the start was effected 2 Tavezbac stood flat footed and lost considerable ground. As the Stewards were satisfied that 2 Tavezbac had not been denied a fair start, correct weight was declared. The Stewards informed Mr. K M Chin the trainer of 2 Tavezbac that the gelding will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until such time that it has passed an official Barrier Trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards.
