Race Report

RACE-3 THE CLONMEL 85-60 (CLASS 2) 1500 METRES (38)

Following the running of Race 3, Jockey W H Lao was examined by the Club’s medical officer and was declared unfit to ride.

1 Master Hunter (Apprentice X C Liang) - After jumping away was hampered and became very unbalanced when tightened for room between 11 Day Day Supreme and 3 Famous Talent which shifted in slightly despite effort of its rider. Around the 1250 metres dipped when awkwardly placed close to heels, and then approaching the 1000 metres had to be restrained when close to heels. Was held up for some distance approaching and passing the 400 metres.
4 Brothers Lian’an (I Poullis) - Near the 1250 metres got its head up and raced ungenerously after being brushed by 12 Aeras.
6 Precious Asset (Apprentice Tesuri) - Bounded and then knuckled on jumping away, resulting in the rider almost being dislodged. As a result lost considerable ground (4L). A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
11 Day Day Supreme (C L Cheung) - After jumping away became very unbalanced after being contacted by 1 Master Hunter, as a result lost ground.
