Race Report

RACE-6 THE NAGOYA (TURF) RATING 55-30 (CLASS 4) 1500 METRES (349)

4 Four Season Health (W Smith) –Was marginally slow to begin. Raced wide without cover before obtaining a position outside the leader near the 900 metres.
6 Rivers Elite (K H Yu) –Was marginally slow to begin. After passing the 1300 metres became unbalanced when bumped by 2 Turquoise Lucky which was racing tight to that gelding’s outside, was then checked when again tightened by 2 Turquoise Lucky which was in turn tightened by 8 Laughing World which shifted in slightly when 5 So Happy shifted in marginally. In all the circumstances the Stewards did not believe that the actions of Jockey L Corrales the rider of 5 So Happy were culpable and no further action was taken. A swab sample was taken from the gelding for analysis. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
7 Lucky And Strong (A Calder) –After passing the 400 metres was bumped by 2 Turquoise Lucky which shifted out to improve its position.
9 Explosive Blast (J Cordero) - Was marginally slow to begin and was then tightened for room between 6 Rivers Elite and 1 Windsor Arch Three which shifted in on jumping away. Approaching the 1200 metres had to be steadied and shifted outwards to avoid the heels of
6 Rivers Elite.
