RACE-3 THE NAAS RATING 95-70 (CLASS 1&2) 1350 METRES (93)

2 Winter Snow (W Smith) -Jumped awkwardly.
3 Californiatreasure (B Yamzon) -Near the 700 metres raced ungenerously and had to be steadied by its rider. On entering the home straight hung in abruptly for a short distance when placed under pressure. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
4 River Control (Y M Choi) - A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
6 Falcoshow (L Corrales) -Jumped awkwardly.
7 Royal Garden (W L Ho) -A post race swab sample was taken for analysis. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. When questioned Jockey W L Ho reported that in his opinion his mount resented racing in the kick back and may improve when able to get to the outside of runners. The Stewards noted his explanation.
8 Eastern Paradise (F Henrique) -Near 1300 metres momentarily raced in restricted room between 11 Mr Singh and 4 River Control which had a tendency to lay in. Leaving the 100 metres was disappointed for a run between 5 Unselfish Trust and 1 Golden Thumb and had to be shifted in to obtain clear running.
9 Benevolent Friend (R Maia) -Raced fiercely in the middle stages. Assistant Trainer G Lam explained that the drop back in class, the addition of blinkers for the first time as well as the drop back in distance to the 1350 metres of tonight’s race, all contributed to the improved performance. The Stewards noted his explanation.
10 River Treasure (M Wepner) -Leaving the 500 metres was inclined to hang out and near the 400 metres had to be steadied when awkwardly placed on the heels of 1 Golden Thumb.
12 Eclair Sunshine (O Chavez) -Raced wide rounding the home turn.
