Race Report

RACE-4 THE THURLES RATING 70-50 (CLASS 2&3) 1350 METRES (94)

1 God Get People (J Pescuiso) -Was marginally slow to begin and was then crowded for room shortly after the start by 8 Stadium which shifted in after being bumped by 9 Fortune Treasure.
2 Rocket Along (O Chavez) -Was marginally slow to begin.
5 Master Starkiller (W L Ho) -Hampered by 8 Stadium near the 700 metres when that horse was steadied away from the heels of 11 Full Score and shifted out. Near the 400 metres had to be steadied away from the heels of 8 Stadium which shifted out to improve. Jockey S Nakano the rider of 8 Stadium was issued with a severe reprimand and was advised he is to ensure that he is sufficiently clear of runners at all times when shifting ground in future. Jockey W L Ho reported that after the race he noted his mount had got its tongue over the bit and recommended to Trainer W H Tse that in his opinion 5 Master Starkiller may benefit with the addition of a tongue tie. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
6 Flying Singh (W Smith) -Was withdrawn by the order of the Stewards at 8.41pm when it was unable to be loaded into the barrier stalls. Trainer Y C Fung was informed that 6 Flying Singh, will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until it has performed satisfactorily in an official Barrier Trial due to its barrier manners.
8 Stadium (S Nakano) -Bumped by 9 Fortune Treasure on jumping away. Near the 700 metres was steadied away from the heels of 11 Full Score.
9 Fortune Treasure (F Henrique) -Raced greenly in the early stages and near the 1250 metres bumped 8 Stadium. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
11 Full Score (B Yamzon) -Near the 700 metres, when reluctant to maintain its position, had to be steadied when momentarily tightened for room between 2 Rocket Along and 9 Fortune Treasure which shifted in and away from 10 Garlic And Spicy which shifted in slightly. After considering all the circumstances, the Stewards could not portion blame to any one rider and took no further action other than to advise all riders to exercise more care in similar circumstances in future. In this incident 8 Stadium which was following had to be steadied away from 11 Full Score and in turn shifted out and hampered 5 Master Starkiller.
12 One More Again (Apprentice T See) -A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer S Chow was informed that 12 One More Again, which had been beaten 42 lengths will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until it has performed satisfactorily in an official Barrier Trial.
