Race Report

RACE-6 THE WARSAW RATING 60-30 (CLASS 3&4) 1800 METRES (180)

1 Magnapegasus (H Lam)-Was bumped by 11 Wealthy Emperor on jumping away. Was held up rounding the home turn.
3 Fantastic Friends (Apprentice C L Cheung)-Over the concluding stages shifted in when brushed with 8 One Belt One Road which shifted out slightly.
4 Bring Me Glory (F Henrique)-Jumped away awkwardly. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Leaving the 50 metres had to be eased when disappointed for a run between 1 Magnapegasus which shifted in and 12 Victory Supreme which shifted out and away from 7 Hyshem. Rider reported that in his opinion 4 Bring Me Glory did not appreciated today’s firm track conditions and would be better suited on more rain affected ground.
5 Association One (J B Hamel)-Leaving the 150 metres had to be eased and shifted in across the heels of 8 One Belt One Road which shifted out under pressure when being ridden along. K H Yu, rider of 8 One Belt One Road was severely reprimand and advised that in similar circumstances in future, he would be expected to stop riding and correct his mount sooner than he did on this occasion.
6 Lucky Winston (C F Chan)-Near the 1350 metres momentarily raced in restricted room and was steadied away from the heels of 9 Evergreen Pegasus which shifted in slightly when making the crossing awkward.
7 Hyshem (T Appie)-Leaving the 100 metres shifted out under pressure.
8 One Belt One Road (K H Yu)- Over the concluding stages shifted out slightly and brushed with 3 Fantastic Friends which shifted in slightly.
9 Evergreen Pegasus (D Barros)-Reared on jumping away and was then slow into stride. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Leaving the 500 metres had a tendency to lay out.
10 Franklin Lane (M Tanaka)-A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
11 Wealthy Emperor (S Ladjadj)-Raced wide without cover until leaving the 700 metres.
12 Victory Supreme (Y M Choi)-Raced wide without cover until near the 1100 metres.

RACING INCIDENT & INQUIRY:
Following the running of the race, the “Enquiry” sign was semaphored to allow the Stewards to view the patrol film over the final 50 metres to establish whether 3 Fantastic Friends (Apprentice C L Cheung), placed 3rd by the judge, had grounds to lodge an objection against 8 One Belt One Road (K H Yu), placed 2nd by the judge. After viewing the patrol film, it was established that 3 Fantastic Friends and 8 One Belt One Road brushed on 2 occasions on the concluding stages. As the Stewards were of the opinion that there was a contributing shift from both horses 3 Fantastic Friends and 8 One Belt One Road, the Stewards did not lodge an objection and correction weight was semaphored on the judges numbers.
