Race Report

RACE-5 THE MORPHETVILLE RATING 60-40 (CLASS 3&4) 1050 METRES (20)

5 Amelia'S Trust (Apprentice Tesuri) - Dislodged the rider enroute to the barrier and was a late withdrawal by the order of Stewards. A post race veterinary examination revealed the horse suffered abrasions. Trainer W K Lam was informed that the gelding will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until such time that it has performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official Barrier Trial.
6 Top Mountain God (K H Yu) - Slightly slow to begin and then bumped by 2 Who Loves Sushi which jumped outwards, as a result lost some ground.
7 More Than Reward (R Maia) - A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding suffered a bleeding attack. Trainer G Allendorf was informed that the normal stand down period applies and 7 More Than Reward will be required to undergo an Official Barrier Trial and a Veterinary Clearance must be produced prior to racing again.
10 Easy Ace (C Perkins) - Passing the 800 metres, was taken in off its course when 1 Sheng Tong Legend (L Corrales) shifted in when not quite clear. L Corrales was notified to be fully clear when shifting ground at all times. After passing the 200 metres, had to be checked when tightened for room between 7 More Than Reward, which initially shifted out before corrected by its rider, and 4 Sheng Tong Star (S Nakano) which then shifted in slightly. Stewards were satisfied that R Maia had made sufficient endeavor to correct his mount and reprimanded S Nakano and notified him that he would be expected to stop riding and straighten his mount when in similar circumstances.
