RACE-1 THE YOKOHAMA RATING 30-0 (CLASS 6) 1050 METRES (63)

1 Famous Jonathn (K H Yu)- Shifted out on jumping and bumped 7 Carry On For Ages and then had a tendency to lay in in on the early stages. Approaching the 200 metres was bumped inwards by 5 Happy Cat, which when attempting a narrow run, laid in and away from 6 Racing Master which also laid in before being corrected.
2 Pearl Big Brother (Apprentice A Liu)- Jumped inwards when the gates were released and brushed 10 Tak Fai Of Pins.
3 Sunrise Eagle (B Yamzon)- Failed to muster early speed and tailed the field before making ground in the straight. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
4 Foxy Rocket (L Corrales)- Shifted out slightly on jumping away and brushed 5 Happy Cat on two occasions.
5 Happy Cat (S Nakano)- Had difficulty in obtaining a clear run in the early part of the straight and had a tendency to lay in.
6 Racing Master (M Tanaka)- Jockey M Tanaka was questioned as to why the eventual winner 5 Happy Cat obtained a run to his inside at the 250 metres. He explained that approaching the 250 metres his mount shifted in when laying in and for this reason he had to stop riding and correct his mount, at which point 5 Happy Cat was able to establish a tight run between 6 Racing Master and 1 Famous Jonathn.
8 Black Pink (C L Cheung)- Raced three wide without cover.
