Race Report

RACE-6 THE HAMILTON RATING 60-40 (CLASS 3&4) 1050 METRES (205)

3 I Told You So (O Doleuze) –Disappointing performance. Rider reported that the gelding traveled well however did not respond to his riding in the straight. He further added that the gelding was carrying a heavier weight today and may not have backed up from its recent start. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
5 Sharon Star (R Curatolo) –Had a tendency to lay in in the straight resulting in its rider having to stop riding and straighten his mount on a number of occasions.
7 Hopefully Tomorrow (W H Lao) –Was slow to muster speed.
8 River Ground (L Salles) –Was slow to muster speed.
10 My Cup Of Tea (B Yamzon) –When questioned regarding his riding on the gelding in particular between the 400 metres and until the entrance into the straight and again approaching the 100 metres, Jockey B Yamzon explained that 10 My Cup Of Tea was not suited by the 1050 metres of today’s event and was under constant riding from the jump. He added that 10 My Cup Of Tea was on its wrong leg rounding the turn and he was attempting to correct this, and added that the gelding did not feel right in its action. The Stewards noted his comments. Trainer K H Leong was informed that he would be required to present the gelding to the Veterinary Clinic for a thorough veterinary examination on Saturday, 26th March 2016.
11 Modena Favorite (C F Chan) –Jumped away awkwardly, striking the outside gate and as a result lost some ground. Rider reported his mount hung out throughout.
12 Nam Kee'S Treasure (W T Pao) - Disappointing performance. Rider reported that the gelding traveled well early however did not respond to his riding from the 400 metres. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
