Race Report
RACE-6 THE CHRISTMAS TREE RATING 60-40 (CLASS 3&4) 1350 METRES (102)

1 Chinese Dream (W Smith) -Bumped by 3 Garlic And Chili on jumping away. Shortly after the start had to be eased when crowded for room between 4 Silver Baby and 3 Garlic And Chili which had a tendency to lay in. Raced wide without cover leaving the 600 metres. The Stewards adjourned the enquiry to a date and time to be fixed to allow Trainer P Leyshan to present 1 Chinese Dream 1 Chinese Dream to the Veterinary Hospital to undergo a thorough veterinary examination on Saturday, 29th December 2018.
2 Mongolian Warrior (F Henrique) -When questioned regarding the tactics adopted, in particular the reason 2 Mongolian Warrior raced in a handy position tonight which was in contrast to its recent racing pattern. Jockey F Henrique explained he received the same instructions than those when he previously rode the gelding which was to try get a good jump and to have the horse travelling in a handy position. He added at its previous starts over shorter distances, he attempted to ride to the instructions but due to the fast tempo in the early stages he settled further back than he had anticipated. He added with the step up in distance in tonight’s race he was able to fulfill those instructions after 2 Mongolian Warrior jumped well and was able to obtain a handy position relatively easily. The Stewards noted his explanation. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer K H Leong was informed to present 2 Mongolian Warrior to the Veterinary Hospital for a thorough veterinary examination on Saturday 29th December 2018.
3 Garlic And Chili (R Maia) -Jumped awkwardly, shifted in and bumped 1 Chinese Dream.
