Race Report

RACE-4 THE MONGKOK RATING 45-25 (CLASS 4&5) 1200 METRES (166)

1 Fortune Flyer (Apprentice C L Cheung) -Near the 700 metres was severely hampered by 8 Honey Biscuit which shifted out abruptly of its own accord.
2 Trillion Princess (F Henrique) -Jumped awkwardly.
4 Upper View (K Leung) -A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
5 Not A Single Help (J Pescuiso) -Near the 1000 metres was bumped by 9 Infinite Treasure which shifted in slightly away from 10 Winner Fortune. Thereafter over raced for some distance and shifted in to a position on the rail resulting in 2 Trillion Princess having to be eased. Had a tendency to shift out under pressure in the home straight. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
6 Fantastic Friends (M Nunes) -Was slow to begin.
8 Honey Biscuit (B Yamzon) -Raced greenly throughout and near the 700 metres shifted out abruptly of its own accord severely hampering 1 Fortune Flyer and 12 Fresh Spirit. Near the 250 metres was eased when awkwardly placed in restricted room between 11 Moon Walker and 2 Trillion Princess both of which shifted ground marginally. Trainer S Chow was informed that 8 Honey Biscuit will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until such time that it has performed satisfactorily in an official Barrier Trial in relation to its barrier manners.
11 Moon Walker (W Smith) -Over the concluding stages was eased when momentarily racing in restricted room between 2 Trillion Princess and 7 Filial Piety which shifted in slightly under pressure.
12 Fresh Spirit (S Nakano) -Near the 700 metres was severely hampered by 8 Honey Biscuit which shifted out abruptly of its own accord. A post race veterinary examination revealed that it was lame in the right foreleg. Trainer M C Tam was informed that 12 Fresh Spirit will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until a veterinary clearance is produced.
