Race Report

RACE-2 THE BLUSHING GROOM RATING 55-30 (CLASS 4) 1200 METRES (299)

2 Good World (S Nakano) - Was restrained from its wide alley and shifted behind runners to obtain a position closer to the running rail. Raced very keenly for some distance approaching and passing the 800 metres.
4 Esteeming (C Perkins) - Had to be restrained from heels around the 750 metres when 7 Ventures Elite (Apprentice Tesuri) shifted in when not fully clear. Apprentice Tesuri was reprimanded and notified that he must be fully clear when shifting ground. When questioned regarding the performance, C Perkins stated that it was his intention to go forward today, however his mount showed no response after jumping away, and for this reason he settled further back than anticipated. He added when placed under pressure in the straight, 4 Esteeming responded only fairly.
7 Ventures Elite (Apprentice Tesuri) - Shortly after the start, was buffeted for several strides between 8 Arriba Arriba and 4 Esteeming which jumped outwards.
8 Arriba Arriba (H B Cho) - Rider stated that he was instructed to settle back today, and then when he placed his mount under pressure, it did not respond to his riding. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
9 Charity Gold (M Tanaka) - Raced keenly for some distance approaching and passing the 800 metres, and had to be restrained when close to heels.
10 Famous Nathan (K F Choi) - Obtained a neat run inside the 50 metres and when doing so, brushed 5 Big Boys Club.
11 Happy Happy Happy (M Alvarez) - Raced three wide without cover.
