Race Report

RACE-1 THE STORMING FORCE RATING 55-30 (CLASS 4) 1500 METRES (255)

2 Riches Treasure (R Curatolo) –For a short distance approaching the 400 metres was unable to improve its position.
3 River Colour (K W Leong) – On a number of occasions in the straight was accidently struck over the nose by the whip of Jockey W Smith the rider of 7 So Happy when racing tight to the inside of that runner. Cast its right fore plate during the run. Rider K W Leong advised he had been instructed to lead today if possible or to take up a handy position, it he was unable to lead. Trainer S H Cheong advised that these instructions were the same as those issued previously however on those occasions 3 River Colour had been unable to take up a more forward position. He attributed this to the shorter distances of those events.
5 Machmaster (L Corrales) –Jumped away awkwardly and lost ground. Commenced to over race after passing the 1400 metres and knuckled passing the 1300 metres. Then continued to over race in the back straight. For some distance approaching and passing the 400 metres was held up when unable to obtain a clear run.
6 Turquoise Lucky (B Yamzon) –Trainer K S Ho advised that due to the wide alley he would instruct the rider to begin well however attempt to find a position with cover. Settled in mid field and thereafter raced three wide without cover for the majority of the race.
8 General's Steed (A Aucharuz) –Was slightly slow to begin.
10 Windsor Arch (W T Pao) –Was a late scratching, on veterinary grounds at 12:30pm when found to be lame in the right fore foreleg. Trainer K C Chong was informed that the gelding will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until a veterinary clearance is produced.
