Race Report

RACE-5 THE ZHONGSHAN RATING 70+ (CLASS 1&2) 1050 METRES (209)

1 Sacred Capital (W L Ho) -Was slow into stride.
3 Victory Megastar (M Tanaka) -Was slow into stride. Leaving the 500 metres had a tendency to hang out.
4 Fortune Treasure (S Nakano) -Near the 400 metres was brushed by 5 Striking Achiever which shifted out. Leaving the 200 metres had a tendency to shift in under pressure.
5 Striking Achiever (F Henrique) -Leaving the 200 metres had a tendency to lay in and away from 4 Fortune Treasure which was inclined to lay in under pressure and near the 100 metres continued to lay in and away from 4 Fortune Treasure and had to be steadied when tightened for room between 2 Fasuba which shifted out slightly and 4 Fortune Treasure which shifted in when continuing to lay in under pressure. Was then held up for a short distance. After considering all of the circumstances in particular the racing manners of 5 Striking Achiever in that it was inclined to lay in and away from 4 Fortune Treasure, the Stewards took no further action other than to issue Jockey of S Nakano the rider of 4 Fortune Treasure a severe reprimand in that he should have stopped riding and corrected his mount sooner that he had on this occasion. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
6 Mountain Tiger (L Corrales) -Was fractious in the barriers. Trainer K M Chin was informed that a warning had been issued against 6 Mountain Tiger for its barrier manners. Was held up rounding the home turn.
7 China Paradise (H Lam) -Raced wide without cover throughout. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer Y C Fung was informed that he would required to present 7 China Paradise to the Veterinary Hospital for a thorough veterinary examination on Sunday, 26 April 2020.
8 Simply Impeccable (W H Lao)-Was slow to begin.
9 Vescer (Y M Choi) - Bumped by 3 Victory Megastar on jumping away.
