Race Report
RACE-5 THE TETRARCH (DIV 1) RATING 40-0 (CLASS 5&6) 1500 METRES (288)

1 Ronson (W L Ho) -Proved difficult to load. Trainer Pat Lee was informed that 1 Ronson will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until such time that it has performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official Barrier Trial. Was marginally slow to begin.
2 Victory Supreme (Apprentice C L Cheung) -Rounding the home turn shifted out around the heels of 9 Golden Bullseye to obtain clear running and in doing so bumped with 7 Goal Achiever. On entering the home straight shifted out and bumped 7 Goal Achiever. Leaving the 200 metres was inclined to shift out under pressure away from 6 Californiatreasure which was taken out by 8 Die Casting Alloy which shifted out to obtain clear running. Leaving the 100 metres brushed with 7 Goal Achiever when inclined to shift out and away from 8 Die Casting Alloy which shifted out under pressure.
3 Association Eighty (M Tanaka) -Leaving the 1300 metres was bumped by 9 Golden Bullseye which shifted out slightly. As a result 7 Goal Achiever which was following had to be eased away from the heels of 9 Golden Bullseye. Raced wide without cover throughout.
5 We Love Macau (S Ladjadj) -Was marginally slow to begin. Near the 750 metres laid in and made contact with the running rail. Near the 300 metres after being struck with the whip shifted in under pressure and made contact with the running rail resulting in Jockey S Ladjadj becoming unbalanced in the saddle for a short distance.
6 Californiatreasure (B Yamzon) -Leaving the 200 metres had to be steadied from the heels of 8 Die Casting Alloy which shifted out to improve. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
7 Goal Achiever (L Corrales) -Was marginally slow to begin. Shortly after the start had to be steadied away from the heels of 2 Victory Supreme which was taken out by 3 Association Eighty which after being ridden along with the whip shifted out before being corrected by its rider. Jockey M Tanaka the rider of 3 Association Eighty was issued with a severe reprimand and advised that in future he would be expected to make sufficient effort to prevent his mount from shifting ground when not clear. Leaving the 1300 metres had to be eased away from the heels of 9 Golden Bullseye. Leaving the 500 metres was inclined to lay out and rounding the home turn was bumped by 2 Victory Supreme which was attempting to shift out around the heels of 9 Golden Bullseye to obtain clear running. Apprentice C L Cheung the rider of 2 Victory Supreme was issued with a severe reprimand and advised that he is to be sufficiently clear of runners when shifting ground and to ensure that he does not make unnecessary contact with runners. On entering the home straight was again bumped by 2 Victory Supreme which shifted out. Leaving the 200 metres was buffeted between 1 Ronson and 2 Victory Supreme which shifted out when being ridden along away from 6 Californiatreasure which was taken out by 8 Die Casting Alloy which shifted out around the heels of 3 Association Eighty to obtain clear running. Jockey K H Yu the rider of 8 Die Casting Alloy was issued with a severe reprimand and advised that in similar circumstances in future he is to be sufficiently clear of runners when shifting ground. Leaving the 100 metres was again bumped by 2 Victory Supreme which when being ridden along was inclined to shift out and away from 8 Die Casting Alloy which shifted out under pressure before being corrected by its rider. Jockey K H Yu the rider of 8 Die Casting Alloy was issued with a severe reprimand for failing to stop riding and straightening his mount sooner than he did on this occasion. In this incident, the Stewards also advised Apprentice C L Cheung the rider of 2 Victory Supreme to exercise more care.
9 Golden Bullseye (T Appie) -Was marginally slow to begin. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
