RACE-5 THE HOKKAIDO RATING 55-30 (CLASS 4) 1510 METRES (182)

1 Inordinate Opinion (K H Yu) - Lowered its head as the gates were released and lost ground (3L). Rider reported that his mount did not feel right in its action in the straight and did not respond to his riding. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer K C Tse was informed that he will be required to present 1 to the Veterinary Hospital for a thorough veterinary examination on Saturday, 1 April 2023 and in addition as the gelding had beaten in excess of 38 lengths, it will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until such time that it has performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official Barrier Trial.

2 Galaxy Warship (L Corrales) - Brushed the side of the barrier stall on jumping. At the 300 metres was inconvenienced by 9 Sunrise Eagle which shifted in abruptly before being corrected by its rider. Jockey C L Cheung the rider of 9 Sunrise Eagle was notified to exercise far greater care when in similar circumstances in future.
4 Kingdom Qi Feng (M Alvarez) - Struck the side of the barrier stall on jumping. Ran off rounding the turn into the back straight and was eased down for the remainder of the race. Trainer K M Chin was notified that due to its poor record, the gelding is now suspended from racing and trialing indefinitely. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
5 Fortune Ahead (W H Lao) - Commenced awkwardly and lost ground.
6 Danish Star (M Tanaka)
7 King Of Glamour (K F Choi) - Rounding the first near the 1200 metres was taken wider by 1 Inordinate Opinion.
8 Rayquaza (Apprentice A Liu) - Had a tendency to lay in in the back straight.
9 Sunrise Eagle (C L Cheung) - Commenced awkwardly and lost ground.
