Race Report

RACE-5 THE PASAY RATING 60-40 (CLASS 3&4) 1500 METRES (342)

1 Classical Music (H Lam) –Near the 1400 metres was inconvenienced by 4 Flying Team which shifted out. Performed below market expectations. Rider was unable to offer any explanation, however added that on pulling up, he had some concerns with his mount’s action. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
2 Dr Definitely (A Calder) –Was marginally slow to begin. Over raced in the back straight and was caught wide without cover before being allowed to stride forward to take up a three wide position outside the leaders near the 600 metres. After passing the 200 metres was hampered and taken out off its course by 6 Great Party which shifted out under pressure before being straightened by its rider. Jockey W Smith the rider of 6 Great Party was notified to exercise more care when in similar circumstances in future.
4 Flying Team (L Corrales) –Trainer K C Chong advised the Stewards that he would be instructing the rider to attempt to settle in a forward position from the inside alley. At the 1100 metres had to be restrained when the pace steadied and as a result settled in a mid field position.
5 My Dream (J Cordero) – Disappointing performance. Rider reported that in his opinion the gelding is better suited to the sand track. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
